The Syriac Knanaya Christians are the descendants of Syriac Christians of Jewish origin who migrated from Edessa (modern Urfa) to the Malabar Coast (Kerala) of India, during the 4th Century (AD 345). The Knanaya Christians have a strong and uniting heritage, traditions and culture of their own,which bind them together wherever they are - in India, America, Europe etc.
